MOSCOW, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and nine others injured in a drone strike in southwestern Russia's Rostov region early Thursday, the region's Governor Yury Slyusar reported via his Telegram channel.
Slyusar said that a drone struck a cargo ship in a port in Rostov-on-Don, the region's capital, killing two people and injuring three others.
The city of Batysk was also attacked, with two houses catching fire, resulting in one death and six injuries.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 77 drones were intercepted and destroyed over Russian territory last night. ■
